Swiss born Jean-Jacques Mamie owner of both Swiss Connection Inc and Jean-Jacques Mamie Fine Jewelry has worked in the fine watch and jewelry business for his entire career. Schooled in Switzerland as a Graduate Watchmaker he then came to the United States to instruct other watchmakers on the service of Piaget, Corum, Movado, Concord, Gucci, and Cartier watches.
While residing in Los Angeles he became a GIA Graduate Gemologist with the goal of one day opening a store of his own. That dream became reality with the opening of Swiss Connection Inc in 1991. The first Swiss Connection offered fine watch repair, jewelry repair, appraisal, and began to establish a retail store known for high quality brands such as Mont Blanc, Baume & Mercier, and Hidalgo rings.
With the 2001 opening of the fabulous St Regis Monarch Beach Resort, Jean-Jacques Mamie opened a second boutique, in the name of Jean-Jacques Mamie Fine Jewelry showcasing many of the finest brand names of the watch and jewelry industry including: Baume & Mercier, Mont Blanc, Corum, Charriol, Cartier, Dubey & Schaldenbrand, Roger Dubuis, Tag Heuer, Simon G, Hildalgo, Honora, Spark, Bixby, SUWA, Barry Kronen, Tycoon, Uneek, Frederik Sage, Cherie Dori, Mouawad, Damiani, Michael Werdiger, Thistle & Bee, Lalique.
