You know in the movies, when a group of friends is road tripping down the Pacific Coast Highway, and all they are wear is shorts and a tank top in the middle of December? That’s a pretty accurate depiction on life in Dana Point, if you ask us. Dana Point weather is comfortably consistent with 70-degree temps year-round and sunshine. Yes, even at Christmas time. To be fair, In 1949, we did get a sprinkling of snow in Orange County and then again in 2015, so sometimes things get weird here. We’re okay with weird.

We don’t want to brag, but Dana Point is actually in the 88th percentile for pleasant weather and is more temperate than most tourist destinations. If you’re heading to Dana Point and are looking for the warmest time of the year, visit us in late August to early September where temperatures very rarely drop below 68°F (20°C) at night.
