As you may have heard from our podcast, Coffee Importers tends to be a local favorite. Located in the heart of Dana Point Harbor, you are sure to find the perfect drink. 

From a freshly brewed cappuccino royale to delicious seasonal drinks, such as a peppermint mocha or pumpkin spice latte! Don’t know what to try? We recommend the harbor latte, a perfect pairing of espresso with vanilla and caramel. Coffee Importers offers an extensive menu to choose from, there is truly something for everyone. 

If you are not in a rush, take a waterfront seat on their lively patio, enjoy the view, and soak up some sun. Bear Coast Coffee

Bear Coast Coffee is another fan favorite, located in La Plaza Pacifica off of Golden Lantern Street. At Bear Coast, you’ll find classic coffees such as cappuccinos, drip coffee, and cold brew (highly recommended especially if you need a pick-me-up) to more unique spins such as the vanilla lavender latte! 

This locally owned business was founded in 2014 and has now expanded to two locations, the other in our neighboring city of San Clemente. You’re sure to feel the laid-back surf-inspired vibes as soon as you walk in. It’s no wonder why so many locals pull up a seat and start their workday there. If you do have the opportunity to stay longer and enjoy a bite, we recommend a tasty feta egg sandwich or a thick slice of avocado toast. The perfect combo with your morning brew!

J C Beans Inc.

We’re going to let you in on a little local gem, J C Beans, locally owned and operated since 1994! One of our longest-standing coffee shops in Dana Point. If you’re not paying attention, you may just miss it driving by. 

Located along Pacific Coast Highway, you’ll spot the signature coffee shop. Stop inside, place your order, and find a book to cozy up with from their library or enjoy some sunshine on the quaint patio along PCH.

Choose from a wide variety of breakfast sandwiches and pastries for a morning bite and grab a warm cup of coffee or a fun drink from their frozen menu, such as a mocha freeze, for a refreshing option. 

One of our must-have recommendations is their iced vanilla chai latte, paired with a cinnamon roll for a sweet combo! Trust us when we say you’ll be glad you made the visit!
