Dedicated to the art of high-velocity surfing, this spring SHACC is excited to present “Go Faster.” The exhibit will focus on the talents and contributions of surfers, shapers and designers George Greenough, Bob McTavish and Dick Brewer. The three are responsible for developing some of the most innovative and progressive surfboard design concepts to date. From the Shortboard Revolution, to Greenough’s Spoon and the fin he foiled for “Magic Sam,” to the down-railer, and all the way down to the modern-day craft the men continue to build, their collective body of work has changed the way we all ride waves today. Also featuring insights and artifacts from test pilots of the era, including Nat Young, Gerry Lopez, Reno Abellira and others, for those that feel the need for speed when they’re in the water this is one exhibit not to be missed.
Please join SHACC for Opening Night from 6-9PM on April 27th!
