It’s Festival Season in Dana Point!
September is the start of festival season in Dana Point! Here are some highlights about the three big events you can enjoy with your family and friends in Dana Point:
39th Annual Maritime Festival:
The tall ships are coming, the tall ships are coming! Dana Point is rich in maritime history, and it celebrates that history every year with the Maritime Festival, formerly known as the Tall Ships Festival. The three day festival takes place annually the week after Labor Day and it will be sailing into Dana Point Harbor, September 8-10th bringing Tallships, pirates, mermaids, cannon battles, and so much more! The next Redo Vintage Market is coming back on Sunday, September 24th, which is perfect because it’s during California Surf Day week. Dana Point is known for its surf culture, and that’s definitely on display at the Redo Vintage Market. There’ll be vendors selling vintage surfboards, check out the VW Buses, wetsuits, and other surf gear, as well as food trucks serving up classic California beach eats along with a beer garden featuring local craft beers and cocktails. So come on down and check it out!!
You can’t get more Dana Point than live music on the beach at Doheny! Eddie Vedder’s curated beach festival is celebrating its 7th year. This all-ages event takes place over three days at Doheny State Beach, starting on Friday, September 29th with The Killers and Haim headlining, followed by Eddie Vedder and the Chicks on Saturday, and The Foo Fighters and The Pretenders closing out the festival on Sunday, October 1st. Limited tickets are available for Friday and Saturday, as Sunday is sold out!
