Family Entourage, which features unique family adventures, recently explored the family-friendly side of Dana Point. A weekend getaway with the kiddos at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa offered the entire family a relaxing weekend. “Right from check in, our kids got to pick out gifts and once we reached our rooms, we were treated to a beautiful, and delicious, welcome,” Family Entourage noted about sweet desserts awaiting their arrival.

Although it was February, the heated pools at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa gave the kids the day to spend swimming and playing ‘surfers’ on the splash pad. After a dip in the pool, the families were able to walk to Dana Point Harbor and board Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching’s family adventure “Wyland’s Art Lesson in the Wild”. These art lessons take place at 9 am every Saturday from the end of January until the end of April every year. They are guided by Wyland (Artist of the Sea) via video alongside a Naturalist from Dana Wharf. After the art lesson we experienced a whale watching adventure which is included in the donation for kids ages 3-12 with a paid adult.

These lessons are guided by Wyland (Artist of the Sea) via video alongside a Naturalist from Dana Wharf. While doodling away, the boat takes you along the coast for a whale watching adventure following migration patterns of the whales passing through Dana Point. “At the end of each lesson, children will submit their drawings to be judged by Wyland himself at the end of the season! We enjoyed creating our masterpiece and then enjoying the adorable sprinkle whale and pink dolphin cookies the instructor made.” Full of adventure, a weekend in Dana Point is a perfect family getaway. “We’ll definitely be back to Dana Point so we can continue to explore!” Read Family Entourage's full article here.
