Begun more than 40 years ago by Dana Wharf Sportfishing, the Dana Point Boat Parade of Lights has grown into one of the largest boat parades in California. Led by Dana Wharf’s Dana Pride, boats of all shapes and sizes dress up and parade the harbor with music and decorations.
Weather permitting, the 2016 Dana Point Boat Parade of Lights will take place Dec. 9th and 10th, and again on Dec. 16th and 17th. This is a popular event but, fortunately, the Dana Point harbor provides all sorts of viewing opportunities, from harbor-side restaurants such as The Wind & Sea, Waterman’s and the Harbor Grill, to harbor inlets with picnic benches and grassy hills. Dress warmly and be sure to walk the Harbor as it’s beautifully decorated for the holidays!
